Josef Shirdel has been linked with a move to Bolton
Bolton Wanderers have been linked with a move for Afghanistan international Josef Shirdel.
Despite his international affiliation, Shirdel was born and has spent his career in Germany.
The tall midfielder, who can play on the wing as well as in the middle, has been plying his trade in the German regional leagues, most notably for Hamburg SV’s second team.
The line was tweeted by journalist Alan Nixon, who says he will arrive tomorrow currently being a free agent.
Shirdel would be the first Afghan to play in English football. He could have moved to the UK last year, but a trial with Rangers led to nothing.
