Reports linking Tim Ream with a Bolton exit to sign from West Bromwich Albion this summer have been ‘played down’.

A decision to sign for Bolton and not West Brom was one that the defender made when signing at the time but reports have said this week that the premier league side have continued to watch him and sent scouts regularly.

His agent Patrick McCabe has said that the 26-year-old is ‘settled at Bolton’ and ‘likes playing for Dougie Freedman’ so isn’t planning on moving on anytime soon.

He told MLSsoccer.com: ‘I’m not aware of any potential bid from West Brom or scouts watching him, but this is quite normal.

‘Tim is quite settled at Bolton and really likes playing for Dougie Freedman. He is focused on playing weekly and finishing the season in good form.’

Freedman has also played down these talks too.

Mr Ecky sends his best to the Vital Bolton community, he’s currently not well, he’ll be back as soon as possible and in the meantime, he’s got a staff writer to fill in for him.

If anyone has something to share in the meantime (this gives a genuine Bolton point of view from a Bolton fan!) feel free to fire an email through.

Please include your username so I can put that to it though.
