Ben Amos has been voted the Vital Bolton Player of the Month for April.
The goalkeeper had put in a few decent performances, including a penalty save against Reading, enough for us to put him on the nominations list, although at times he still is very much vunerable from long shots.
However, in what is a quite a surprise, he ended up taking 44% of the vote.
Derik’s new found role as a central midfielder has helped propel him to second place in the vote, with 30%. David Wheater, who would have been my pick, got 19%, while Zach Clough took the remaining 7%.
