The chairman made his long awaited appearance in front of fans

The chairman made his long awaited appearance in front of fans tonight after a previous delay.

Ken Anderson took questions from around 100 attending fans, mainly concerning financial matters

On the long standing incomplete accounts, he said that they would be signed off and made public within a month. Let’s hope that is the case. Until then, the club will remain in an embargo.

Unsurprisingly, the club is still losing a lot of money, to the tune of £800,000 a month, mainly owing to player salaries.

Funding has been secured through to the end of the season, but the discussions to buy out Dean Holdsworth’s shares are still going on, while he denied any talk of Saudi discussions.

Fair play to him fronting up. Some things were expected, some things said were the right things. We now have to hope he actually delivers on what he says is happening, because we’ve heard the right things from enough people before.
