Andrews Departure Confirmed

Keith Andrews’ Bolton departure was finally confirmed on Thursday with him seeing out the final year of his contract away from the club, once again.

Dougie Freedman and Andrews do not seem to see eye to eye with it clear for quite sometime that the Irish midfielders future wasn’t with Wanderers but his contract was proving a problematic area, both for us to keep paying and for others to match to sign him up.

Andrews does technically remain under contract with the club but will play out the final year of this during a loan spell with championship rivals Watford, with his season-long loan deal seeing him through to becoming a free agent.

Watford would, you would expect, be paying a significant portion towards his wages during this loan spell?

Little love seems to be lost between the player and club as usually when a player departs they are ‘wished well’ aren’t they but Wanderers official announcement of his departure contained no such thoughts….

Mr Ecky sends his best to the Vital Bolton community, he’s currently not well, he’ll be back as soon as possible and in the meantime, he’s got a staff writer to fill in for him.

If anyone has something to share in the meantime (this gives a genuine Bolton point of view from a Bolton fan!) feel free to fire an email through.

Please include your username so I can put that to it though.
