Anelka praises Big Sam

The engimatic French forward has been praising Big Sam in a recent interview.

‘Sam Allardyce is my manin influence. He is a very patient man. At no time has he put me under pressure. He trusts me and has stressed that there is no pressure on me. Now that I have scored, goals will come – it’s only natural.

‘I am learning all the time and Sam is a good teacher.His methods are different to what I have experienced before, but he knows how to keep things simple. I owe it to him to make an impact and make gradual progress over the next three years. His enthusiasm for the game is infectious and I now have a new love for the game since I arrived in the summer.’

I’m sure they won’t be picking curtains together or anything but has Anelka found the right manager for him at this stage of his career?
