August has been a great month for Bolton on the whole. We sit third in the Championship, having won both our away games so far, and also managed a home win over Birmingham and a draw against Bristol City. It did end on a sour note as we lost at home to Sheffield United, while there was also disappointment in the Carabao Cup, though a 2-1 loss at Leeds is hardly the end of the world.
Anyway, who has been your player of the month? We’ve picked four candidates, and given our victories were built largely on defensive performances, it feels right to include both David Wheater and Mark Beevers. Or you may prefer to vote for Pawel Olkowski, who has impressed in his early games with his reading of the game and ability on the ball.
Further forward, it was impossible to leave out Josh Magennis, who has scored three goals in five starts and has invariably run himself into the ground when he hasn’t been scoring.
If you have Twitter, the poll is below and you can vote via that. It closes Wednesday morning.
Player of the month time…
