Bolton Confirm One Pre-Season Friendly

|

Amongst all the things Bolton Wanderers haven’t been able to do this summer is confirm any sort of pre-season fixture list. However, one small step towards normality seems to have been made, after a game away to York City was announced for next Sunday.

The game will be played on a Sunday rather than a Saturday due to a major horse racing meeting being held at the city’s racecourse that day. Maybe some of the jockeys could stay on and play for us as trialists, given that we won’t have enough senior players at that point to field a side (and some of them may still be taller than Erhun Oztumer)

Tickets for the game cost £10 for adults and £5 for concessions, and it will probably the last game Wanderers ever play at Bootham Crescent, as York plan to move to a new stadium in the very near future.

Hopefully, the Football Ventures group will soon complete our takeover, then we might be able to even get some players in. The Wycombe match is 32 days away.
