Does Companies Court offer season tickets?

Supporting Bolton isn`t meant to be easy. And again, we`ve had further proof of that today.

Obviously gaining automatic promotion is too good a thing for the universe not to balance out, so come the set of winding up petitions to bring Wanderers fans back down to earth.

We obviously knew about the BluMarble one, that will be heard a week on Monday against Sports Shield BWFC. But two more have been issued with a date that has yet to be confirmed. To be honest, I`m not a football finance expert, even after last year`s travails. Alan Nixon did take to Twitter, saying the tax debts weren`t huge, but “come at a bad time.” He says BluMarble is the bigger issue, and it`s certainly more immediate.

Maybe that’s true and it’s a case of HMRC being quick off the mark, as they’re deliberately trying to be with football clubs.

Using “the promotion money” isn`t an option to fix this, the £5 million we do get for going up is not a lump sum of prize money, more the money we get over the course of the year for being in the second tier.

For me, it just highlights the fact that the club needs further, proper investment if we`re to progress from this hand to mouth state.

UPDATE The club have released a statement this morning, stating that the club nor Burnden Leisure have been served with an order yet, and that the issue with Special Catering Company has been resolved as of months ago.
