Cheers Sheffield United…

Some Bolton fans will be unable to go to Saturday’s game at Bramall Lane after Sheffield United cut our ticket allocation.

According to Wanderers, they were informed this morning that the Blades wanted some of the tickets back, meaning all of a sudden we had only 100 or so available, apparently so they could be sold to home fans.

Bolton Twitter predictably went into meltdown, but there’s not much which can really be done from our end. Sheffield United have played us a hospital pass. If they were worried about a few empty seats, maybe start with a small allocation and offer more if there is the demand. It’s their fault.

What could be Bolton’s fault is the Fleetwood arrangements. We sold our first allocation in just two hours, although the club is trying to secure more. But all season ticket holders are treated equal, including those who have taken up the seven game package.

It is a tad unfair on those fans who have been to virtually every game so far. What ever happened to those away ticket vouchers you used to get?

Anyway, I got tickets for both games.
