Joe Mason was forced to miss Bolton’s midweek meeting with Derby County due to illness, however it’s hoped that he’ll be back to face Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday afternoon.

The on loan Cardiff City striker had to sit out the trip to Derby due to an ear infection but the Bolton News reports Dougie Freedman as being ‘hopeful’ that Mason will be able to return to play some part at the Reebok Stadium this weekend.

Bolton should be save from the thread of championship relegation now but will still want to keep the unbeaten run going against the play-off contenders.

Mr Ecky sends his best to the Vital Bolton community, he’s currently not well, he’ll be back as soon as possible and in the meantime, he’s got a staff writer to fill in for him.

If anyone has something to share in the meantime (this gives a genuine Bolton point of view from a Bolton fan!) feel free to fire an email through.

Please include your username so I can put that to it though.
