Bolton kept their unbeaten run going, now at six games, after a goalless draw with Preston last night

They were perhaps lucky to do so. It was a poor game for the neutral, and in the first half we didn’t seem to be awake at all. Paul Gallagher was the danger man, having an effort stopped by Ben Alnwick, and setting up headers for Andy Boyle and Tom Barkhuizen which both went wide.

Wanderers had one big chance when Josh Vela’s effort was tipped over by Chris Maxwell.

After the second half we picked up, with Preston not troubling us too much and having less of the ball than most if not all of our recent opponents.

I’m not sure what to make of that, a chance to get out of the bottom three went begging last night, but it is still a point when a better team might have put us out of sight in the first half.
