Bolton Loan Everton Youngster

We`ve signed another one!

Bolton have now signed four players in a week, after Antonee Robinson was brought in from Everton on a half-season loan. Robinson has played at the Macron in the recent past, as he turned out for Everton`s U23 side in the Checkatrade Trophy last season, a match which we lost.

The signing plugs a long-standing gap at left-back, where Andy Taylor had no competition or backup. While we won`t profess to know a lot about Robinson, any acquisition who can play there will be welcomed with open arms.

What can we find out about him? He will turn 20 on Tuesday, was born in Milton Keynes, but represented the US at youth international level. Two seasons ago his career stalled when he suffered a knee injury, having travelled with the senior squad that summer to Singapore for the Premier League Asia Trophy. Last season saw him get back in the swing of things though, as the Toffees` U23 side won Premier League 2, which in layman`s terms is the reserve league. He does seem highly rated on Merseyside.

It’s one of those rare signings that you just cannot see how it goes. As with any player to put on the white shirt though, we of course wish him good luck.
