Bolton off to the Seaside

Bolton will play Blackpool in the first round of the League Cup.

Wanderers will most likely travel to Bloomfield Road on Tuesday 9 August. There is little to no chance of the game being picked for television coverage.

Blackpool have been relegated twice in the last two seasons and will be playing in League Two next season, but with Bolton being a seeded team they were guaranteed a winnable game. It’s also a chance to go to the seaside while it’s reasonably warm.

The teams last met at Bloomfield Road in November 2014. Lee Chung-yong scored a late equaliser in a 1-1 draw.
