Bolton’s match against Burton the weekend after next has been pushed back to Monday for TV coverage reasons.
Originally the match was scheduled for a standard 3pm kick-off on Saturday 4th September, but will now kick-off at 8pm on Monday 6th, and will be live on Sky Sports.
It was a late switch. The broadcaster’s original plan was to show Plymouth v Portsmouth that night, but that match has been postponed after enough international call-ups were made, and with both us and Burton making strong starts to the season, and Wanderers also scoring the most goals so far, and the fact we’re a big club in this division, let’s be honest, it became a good choice of pick. Being fair, Sheffield Wednesday v Sunderland may be an obvious pick but maybe there could be an international call-up problem there at some point.
