Bolton Sign a Player

Wales may have beaten Belgium tonight. Yes, it was an historic event. But it paled into insignificance compared to events in the North West.

Bolton have signed a palyer permanently for the first time in a year, after the announcement that Chris Taylor has joined the club.

The 29 year old Oldham born winger is unlikely to be involved against Atherton Colls tomorrow but will join the squad for the trip to Scandinavia.

Taylor spent seven years at his home town club before moving to Millwall in 2012. A season later he moved back up north to Blackburn Rovers, but spent last season back on loan at the New Den before Rovers released him recently.

It seems a good and logical signing, as Wanderers are desperately short of wide players. Official confirmation of the signing also brought up the question of whether the transfer embargo finally had been lifted.

According to information obtained by the BBC’s Liam Bradford, the answer to that is ‘no’ and the signing was completed within the confines of the embargo.

There seems to be no concrete information out there in terms of what the club can and cannot do, but it seems as though we can make a small number of signings, with the possibility of making more if there are outgoings.
