Bolton have signed defender Lewis Buxton.

A deal that has come under the radar, the full back has signed a one year deal.

Buxton turned out for Rotherham last season, and also played for Sheffield Wednesday in League One, where he played alongside Mark Beevers and Gary Madine.

He should be available to face Sheffield United tomorrow

  • According to ‘Whitesmurf’, neither he nor most of the other recent signings will be available tomorrow. He argues that only Wheater and Beevers will be eligible to play. The rest aren’t registered. Another sickener if true. And another indication that the nightmare continues. When will our off-field troubles end! Where is our saviour Ken? When will he put us in the picture, tell us what’s going on and come clean…….Of course the answer is – probably never!

  • Quite obviously duff information above from ‘WhiteSmurf’, thank God! What a gritty performance today from the lads. Just what we have been waiting for. This team is going to take some beating at he Macron I think. The crowd became more and more vociferous as the game went on and as Bolton raised the tempo. Best support I’ve heard in a long time. And may it continue. Great goal to seal it by Jay, but sad to see Pratley badly injured. It looked like his ankle. Hope it’s not broken. We can now see how Parky likes to set his teams up. I wasn’t too keen on his selection, but it proved to be the right one. Good for him. The defence were quite magnificent and especially those two centre-halves. It must have been especially satisfying for Wheater, after all he has been through recently. Overall, this must have helped to raise the confidence in the system for the players, so let’s hope they can build on this and take the league by the scruff and really show what they are made of. It wouldn’t be before time!

  • Don’t want to get too carried away, there was a similar feelgood factor after the first game last season, which rightly didn’t last long. But we looked solid
