Bolton have apparently signed a player, but we have to wait until tomorrow for bis identity

As it’s Marc Iles’ story, here is his tweet.

‘Wanderers have signed a player but understand his parent club asked it doesn’t get announced until tomorrow morning. Paper it is… #bwfc’

That immediately rules out Peter Odemwingie, despite being at the game yesterday, the Nigerian is a free agent. It could hint at a team playing today, which may or may not be Adam Le Fondre of Wigan. Eoin Doyle, currently at Preston, is a name being bandied about. Doyle is also not keen on Jermaine Beckford, so might fit right in with the fans.

We should say we have no idea who it is.

It could be good business, because meanwhile on Twitter, Alan Nixon has tweeted that Portsmouth are interested in Jamie Proctor, although we would want money for him
