Bolton v Birmingham Stats – Another Strong Second Half

|

Bolton Wanderers remain unbeaten in the Championship after a 1-0 win over Birmingham City. The match followed a familiar pattern that seems to be emerging this season – as in every league game we’ve played it was level at half-time before we won through a goal officially credited to Will Buckley.

Changes were made from Saturday’s win at Reading – Erhun Oztumer got his first Championship action, while Yanic Wildschut and Gary O’Neil came in too. Josh Vela, Luke Murphy and Will Buckley all came out of the side, while Sammy Ameobi would eventually come off the bench.

Birmingham edged the possession while they also had more shots on and off target. The goal was the first against Blues since October 2014 and puts us third in the Championship with Leeds and Middlesbrough only ahead of us on goal difference.

Bolton subs:
Buckley replaced Wildschut (61)
Ameobi replaced Noone (62)
Donaldson replaced Oztumer (85)

Birmingham subs:
Adams replaced Jutkiewicz (77)
Solomon-Otabor replaced Maghoma (81)
