Bolton v MK Dons Preview: Hard To Expect Crawford To Be Up To Speed Tomorrow

|

After suffering a third straight defeat on Saturday, Bolton are back on the road tomorrow as they travel to Milton Keynes to play the most disliked club in the division. Wanderers should have a few faces back, which is very welcome considering it’s probably one of the more winnable away games this season. If we can win any.

Team news

Great team news for that creative midfield area – Ali Crawford and Ronan Darcy are both back in the squad apparently. Anthony Georgiou will miss this game though, although he should be back in training on Monday.

Facts and stats

MK Dons are one of the few teams we have beaten this season, Daryl Murphy scoring a late, late winner in November’s 1-0 victory. Happier times. Slightly happier anyway.

This is our first trip to Stadium MK since February 2017, when we got a 1-1 draw. Jay Spearing scored on the brink of half time before Kieran Agard levelled. We haven’t won on either of our trips to MK.

Bolton have lost the last four away games played. We have a win and a draw from their last five matches, while MK Dons have two wins and two draws from their last five games.

Prediction

Given our recent performances why should we expect much? Crawford could well be back but it’s a lot to ask him to get up to speed immediately. MK 3-0 Bolton
