As you will be aware, during the game a White Hart Lane this evening, Fabrice Muamba collapsed on the pitch and was given CPR and appeared to be defibrillated before being stretchered off and taken to hospital. At the moment he is in a critical condition at the London Chest Hospital in East London.

It isn’t something that you think you will ever see happen during a football game played by professional players who are at the peak of their fitness and the fact that it has happened to a Bolton Wanderers player makes it even more shocking if you are a Bolton Wanderers fan.

But what was seen in North London and around the footballing world does gladden the heart. The respect that was given to Fabrice by Spurs fans was something that many thought had left the game. When they joined in the singing of his name, it makes you realise that we are really all as one.

The comments on the match preview are welcomed and I would like to thank everyone who has left them. You may or may not believe in it, but even if you don’t, say a little prayer for Fabrice Muamba, his family and his friends tonight. There are a lot of people out there who will be scared and will not be getting a lot of sleep.

Keep on fighting big fella.
