Bolton Wanderers: Leicester Preview

Afternoon all. I`ve got the luxury of writing this a little bit earlier today, as I`ve a half day at work so I can go to the match! It`s my first away game of the season too. Yes, I know, that`s disgraceful. So, before I set off, let me preview the game.

These are the sort of games you look forward to as a football fan. Games where the result can change the shape of an entire season, an entire club or even an entire community. Win, and we look pretty close to confirming our place in the playoffs. Lose, and it makes it very very hard. It`s almost knockout football. I cannot wait.

Brighton play Peterborough away, and Forest play Boro. Two big games that good results could hand us a really huge favour in our fight to return to the promised land.

Vital Quotes:

Chris Eagles is dead up for this promotion push, which I hope translates into some goals on the pitch. He told the club`s official website; “We`d like to think we can go all the way, but we`re not happy where we are – we still want to push on and that`s what we`ll do. Leicester is a massive game, and they`re going to be watching us as we`ve climbed the table. They drew again on Friday night – they`ve not been in great form lately so it`s going to be interesting, but it makes it enjoyable as well for the fans.

“It doesn`t matter if you support Bolton or not, it`s just been an incredible story of where we`ve come from this season. Personally, I`m playing with a smile on my face and I`m loving every minute of it. It`s an honour putting a Bolton shirt on every week and especially when we win it is brilliant.

Leicester City Team News:

Leicester have a fully fit squad to choose from. Shame none of them have put in a performance in weeks!*

*Yeah, the trash talks starts NOW.

Player to watch: David Nugent

And that says it all…

Bolton Wanderers Team News:

We`re as is, although Jay is a slight doubt with his toe.

Player to watch: MEDO

This man will win the game for us tonight. Since he`s reached full fitness, he`s been a different class. Strong in the tackle, no-nonsense, and scarily athletic. Those Leicester boys won`t know what`s hit them.

Match Facts & Stats

We battered Leicester 5-0 at Filbert Street in our first game back in the Premier League, in a spell that lasted 11 years and ended last May. A similar win tonight looks very unlikely, but if Michael Ricketts can play for England, why not?

Match Prediction:

A 2-1 victory for Wanderers, for our ninth win in eleven games.

Next Fixtures:

That massive game against Middlesborough, followed by all the other MASSIVE games. COME ON YOU WHITES!!
