A collection of micro-articles from AlParklar

Good evening everyone. Apologies for the lack of article last night, so to recompense you, I will be doing one tonight and one tomorrow morning. The second will be a preview to tomorrow`s (or today`s as I imagine the majority of you will be reading this on Saturday) big game away at Bloomfield Road. The first will be a focus on the bits of news that we haven`t commented on in the last couple of days.

THE CLUB ANNOUNCES NEW DEVELOPMENT PLAN

Right, so we`ve all seen the plans, and it sounds exciting. I`m very happy that the club is being so forward-thinking and planning for a successful future. This is the first real signal of ambition that we have seen for a long time, and if it all comes to fruition, the club will be in a great position off the field.

EDDIE DAVIES CANNOT ASK FOR HIS MONEY BACK AT A SECONDS NOTICE

Phew. We can worry a little less about money now. Plus, it does look like he might want a bit more in than he has done (and he has put in quite a bit), so it`s all good.

AFOBE PICKED FOR U21s SQUAD BUT SORDELL IS NOT

Benik Afobe is not worthy of a plaice from my local fishmongers (see what I did there?), never mind a place in the England U21s squad. I cannot see what Stuart Pearce could have seen from him. In his bit-part role in recent weeks, he has done very little to convince me that he is worthy of any more game time, especially when it is stunting the development of our own young striker. Marvin is yet to play for the club under Freedman, which is probably down to his insolence. You can`t whine on Twitter every time you don`t play.

JACOB BUTTERFIELD JOINS ON MONTH LOAN FROM NORWICH

I have never seen the kid play, but I reckon he can probably do a better job than Pratley. Plays in both midfield and defence, so is good cover for positions where we really need to freshen things up. The only downside is that he hasn`t played regular football for a year, and that was for Barnsley. Should fit in the gap between now and Holden`s return nicely though.

DOUGIE WANTS TO KEEP WARNOCK

And so he should. Stephen`s done a steady job for us at left back since joining the club, and I really hope that we manage to secure him on a permanent basis. This will spell the end of Marcos Alonso`s future as a left back for the club, that I don`t doubt. Alonso does, however, have a good career ahead of him still on the wing, and the sooner he is given a chance there the better. I`m not expecting a position-change-success-story of Bale proportions, but I think that Marcos could develop into quite the handy midfielder.

Right, see you bright and early tomorrow for the match preview.
