I made a big mistake today, lets hope Dougie makes the right choices tomorrow.

Evening everybody. I planned to write this a little bit earlier, but when my experimentation with DIY Hairdressing went horribly wrong, I had to fit in an emergency trip to the Barbers. Needless to say they were wetting themselves once I’d taken my hat off, and gave me a pity-filled discount on what is effectively a short back and sides. Still £15 though!!!

So, to football. Wednesdays are probably my least favourite day to write on, especially in a Championship week without any midweek games. There isn’t much news, and it’s just too early to start mentioning the away trip to Brighton on Saturday.

The one bit of news is that tomorrow is the deadline for the loan window, and Dougie is looking to get one more body in to turn this team from also-rans to serious promotion contenders. We’re still in with a shout; it would likely have to be a Palace style super-run into sixth, but I don’t think I would mind going up at Wembley one bit.

I have absolutely no idea who will be coming in. I cannot imagine that we will would be able to snatch anyone from Dougie’s old club, who are doing spectacularly on the back of the good work he put in whilst at the club. If Palace go up this season, it will be down to Dougie Freedman.

I also have no idea who is available. Are there many players that are sitting in the reserves of Premier League clubs, who could really make a big difference to our starting eleven? Maybe we could use that loan that Chelsea owe us as part of the Cahill deal? With the chaos currently surrounding the West London club, we could probably sneak Gaz himself back. I kid. It will be some nobody.

So in contrast to the mystery of who’s coming in, there seems to be a general feeling of who is going out. O’Halloran and Wylde look to be leaving to get some much needed experience, as they are nowhere near the first team, and will probably never be at that level. Marvin Sordell also looks to be shipped out, and good riddance, you whinging self-righteous workshy poser. Alonso could also make a temporary switch, which would be a shame, as I think he just needs that shift forward to become the player that Real Madrid saw.

Lets see what Thursday brings. One thing it does bring is Quentin X. Enjoy his articles while you can. Cheerio.
