Bolton won their first league game since the August bank holiday weekend with a late own goal sealing a victory over lowly Swindon.

The result means that Bolton move back into the playoff spots into fourth.

Wanderers had most of the play. Swindon passed it around, and Bolton were predictably more direct.

Having been unfairly booked, Gary Madine was served more to feet as the game went on, and the slightly more aesthetically pleasing approach paid dividends late on.

Josh Vela had appeared to shoot, whether he touched it was actually questionable, but it went off Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill and trickled into the back of the net in the 86th minute.

Raphael Branco was sent off late on for an elbow on Lawrie Wilson.
