Bolton’s perfect run of league games came to an end after conceding a late equaliser at Charlton.

It wasn’t the best performance in the first half. David Wheater nearly did put Wanderers ahead with their only real chance of the half, but his effort was cleared off the line via the crossbar.

Charlton also missed a huge chance to go ahead themselves. Jason Pearce was left free in the area, but thankfully his header went wide.

The second half started with a bad injury for Mark Davies. He needed oxygen and was stretchered off, and a player who has had horrendous luck with injuries is now set for another long spell on the sideline.

It didn’t affect those still on the pitch though. Liam Trotter got wide on the left, and Gary Madine was able to slot home past Declan Rudd.

The hosts brought on young prospect Ademola Lookman though. He scored against us last season, and did so again, with a late shot from the edge of the area.

Into the seven minutes of added time due to Davies’ injury, Brandon Hanlan nearly scored a winner but he could only find the side netting
