Bolton’s Amos Leaves Door Open For Charlton Return

|

At the risk of having to rename the site Vital Ben Amos, and possibly even getting a restraining order taken out on us by the goalkeeper, here’s another article about him.

Amos officially concluded his loan spell at Charlton Athletic today and this evening released a statement of sorts. It was the usual had a good time, praise the fanbase type of content most footballers put out, but there was potentially one bit of interest in the post.

“I can’t speak on the future, all I can say is I would be honoured to play for this club again at some point in time,” Amos says toward the end of his note.

Amos has a year left on his deal, and as we all know, Ken Anderson deems the wages too high to sustain and he has spent the last two seasons on loan to reduce the wage bill. The odds suggest that be it through a sale or another temporary deal, he won’t be between the sticks for Wanderers again next season, and after his save last night, a deal to ensure Amos remains at the valley may suit all parties.
