Bolton’s Fixtures Revealed For The New Season

Bolton Wanderers will start the 2019-20 season against another set of Wanderers on Saturday 3rd August, when they make the trip down to Adams Park to face Wycombe.

A week later we have our first home game back in League One when we take on Coventry City, before an away trip to Tranmere Rovers, who we’re sure will have buckets of sympathy for our current situation. A busy August sees us also host Doncaster and Ipswich, as well as a trip down to Gillingham.

We’re at home to Bury in September and Blackpool in October, while the final weekend in November sees us make the trip to Accrington Stanley. Boxing Day’s assignment will be a trip up to the Stadium of Light to face Sunderland, while we play Burton on New Year’s Day, with a home game against Shrewsbury nestled in between those on the Sunday.

Blackpool away is scheduled for the for weekend in January, but that will have to move should either of us reach the third round of the FA Cup. The Easter period sees a long Good Friday trip to Ipswich followed by Easter Monday’s home game against Gillingham. Our final home game against Rotherham on 25th April, before we close out the season with a trip to Oxford, which obviously has to be a midday kick-off on a Sunday. Thanks Sky.

While it’s probably better to have a home game to finish, just in case we need a result, to be honest, everyone plays everyone twice, though people will have their personal reasons for why they want certain fixtures to be on certain weekends.

The full fixture list can be found here, while the draw for the first round of the Carabao Cup takes place at a Morrisons in North London tonight, Bolton are aisle, sorry ball, number 5.
