Bolton have been hit by news that Mark Davies will be out for around a month with a knee injury. The young midfielder, signed from Wolves in the transfer window, has made a promising start to his career at the Reebok, and appears to be a rarity amongst Gary Megson`s squad, in that he isn`t afraid of the ball.

Also on the injured list is Chris Basham, who is unlikely to be fit to face West Brom at the weekend. At least he`ll have company in the treatment room, in the form of long term casualty Joey O`Brien.

Tamir Cohen continued on the comeback trail last night as the reserves went down 5-1 at home to Manchester City, and not only performed dismally, but got himself sent off for committing two yellow card offences in the space of five minutes.

So it`s looking like a Gavin McCann/Fabrice Muamba midfield axis for the rest of the season. Bet you can`t wait.
