Can Bolton Back Up Their Salford Performance At Struggling Stevenage?

Bolton look to make it a third successive win in all competitions tomorrow when they travel down to Stevenage.

There is one slight rule change ahead of tomorrowโ€™s match โ€“ Wanderers, and all teams in the EFL for that matter, can now make five changes in a game. Still, only seven can be named on the bench in League Two, but thereโ€™ll be more room to make changes. Or just sub your wing-backs for the sake of it.

While it keeps players fresher, it will also benefit those with larger squads, but Iโ€™m not sure we have loads of options off the bench going forward. Evatt seems to disagree though, but with Shaun Miller and Lloyd Isgrove getting fitter that might help.

Team news

No new concerns for Bolton, we should probably expect a similar starting lineup to the team that beat Salford last Friday. Matt Gilks should keep his place in goal after everything seemed just calmer in that game.

Previously

Itโ€™s a first trip to Stevenage.

The opposition

Stevenage have just one win in the league and sit second from bottom, having only stayed up last season because of Macclesfieldโ€™s woes.ย  Unfortunately a team in poor form has usually resulted in us coming unstuck this season.

Predictionย

Last weekโ€™s performance gives hope, but I canโ€™t be convinced until we put a few of them tomorrow. Stevenage can beat us if we play like we have at times this season. 2-1 to them.
