Davies Unlikely To Return In March

It was hoped, maybe not expected mind; that Mark Davies could return this month but this isn’t too likely to happen now with Neil Lennon saying he would ‘very much’ doubt if this could be the case.

Recently it was expressed, or at least again hoped, that he could return this month after a long-term lay off since November but his injury plagued spell goes on with Lennon telling the media that we’ve got ‘nothing pencilled in’ for a return date.

‘There’s nothing pencilled in yet. He’s out on the grass now doing some running. It will depend how quickly he can get up to speed with that.

‘We’d be delighted if (Davies returning this month) was the case but whether we see him in March or not. I would doubt it very much.’

You do wonder if we’ll see him play again this season, or if we’ll even see him again in a Bolton shirt!

Someone we’ll also not see in a Bolton shirt again, some might be thankful of, is former captain Zat Knight.

Previously he was on trial with Watford but now the BBC says he is signing a contract with Reading until the end of the season….
