Defender Loaned Out

|

Reiss Greenidge has been loaned out to Barnet for the upcoming season.

The centre-back joined last summer after a spell in Norwegian football, but was never able to hold down a place in the first team. Once he was sent off against Crawley in January, he never featured for us again.

Switching to a back four has also made it harder for a centre-back to get into the team, and Greenidge was at best going to fifth choice, behind Ricardo Santos, Alex Baptiste, George Johnston and Will Aimson. He may have even ended up behind Adam Senior and Liam Edwards in time. So it makes sense for him to go out and get regular football. He’s closer to home and should feature prominently for Barnet, who finished in the lower reaches of the National League last season, and would have been relegated had they not scrapped it last term.

He has a year left on his deal with us, so that could be it for him in a white shirt.
