Evatt Already Under Pressure On Barrow Return

Is the pressure getting to Ian Evatt? After an almost nuclear dig-out at his squad after Saturday’s loss to Oldham, Bolton Wanderers now travel to the club at where his work got him his move to the University of Bolton Stadium.

Tomorrow, we play Barrow, and we really could do with what would just be a second win of the season.

Team news

Lloyd Isgrove is closer to full fitness, but it sounds like he won’t be ready for tomorrow’s match. The usual long-term absentees remain just that, with Shaun Miller having suffered a set-back in training. It’ll be interesting to see which changes, if any, Evatt makes after Saturday.

It’s our first trip to Holker Street. We did host them in an FA Cup tie in 1991, where we won 1-0 in the third round.

The opposition

Barrow are still waiting for a win after drawing three and losing three of their first six matches back in the EFL. David Dunn is the boss now, after replacing Evatt, who we all know got the job after leading the club to promotion last season. Yoan Zouma is at Barrow now, after failing to get a new contract with us.

Barrow have drawn all three of their league games at Holker Street, and a fourth wouldn’t seem out of place given the way we are. 1-1.
