Bolton’s Scandinavia tour continued on Sunday and they remain unbeaten, better still they secured their first win, having drawn the opening fixture, when they beat FC Vestsjaelland 1-0.

The Danish topflight outfit were contained pretty well be Wanderers by all accounts with the official website reporting Bolton as being ‘always in control in a game’, which was won thanks to Liam Feeney’s goal.

Feeney and striker Craig Davies, one you would be surprised if he stayed perhaps, linked up for the winger to score what proved to be the winner with Vestsjaelland missing a second half penalty, which seems catching as Wanderers missed one and scored another against Brondby.

Rasmus Festersen skied his penalty on this occasion.

Youngsters Joe Riley, Josh Vela and Oscar Threlkeld played the full 90-minutes with Vela ‘in a deep-lying midfield role’ seemingly impressing, could this be his year finally?

Bolton conclude this Scandinavia tour later this week.

Bolton: Lonergan (Fitzsimons 78), Riley, Threlkeld, Dervite (Mills 68), Ream (Bolger 72), Feeney (Danns 68), Vela, Medo (Moxey 68), Pratley (Spearing 68), Iliev (Hall 72), C Davies (Beckford 72)

Mr Ecky sends his best to the Vital Bolton community, he’s currently not well, he’ll be back as soon as possible and in the meantime, he’s got a staff writer to fill in for him.

If anyone has something to share in the meantime (this gives a genuine Bolton point of view from a Bolton fan!) feel free to fire an email through.

Please include your username so I can put that to it though.
