Freedman: I’m Building A Team

Bolton haven’t suffered many defeats in the past dozen or so championship games but they did suffer a setback on Tuesday night.

Leicester City wrapped up the championship title with a 1-0 win over Bolton at the Reebok Stadium on Tuesday night thanks to a second half strike from Lloyd Dyer.

Dougie Freedman wasn’t too unhappy at the defeat, you never want to lose but he has decided that he wanted to use the championship champions as the side to compare what he’s trying to do with Bolton.

However unlike the Foxes the Bolton boss knows he will need to find some of his younger diamonds that are slightly rougher and need more polishing as unlike Leicester the money pit isn’t as large at Bolton.

Freedman told the media: ‘I’m building a team that is committed and is going to put their bodies on the line for the cause.

‘You can start to see that in the second half of the season with our points tally. Leicester have done it in a way that I would like to copy with young, hungry players.

‘They went and bought their players for a significant amount of money; we are going to have to find them a little bit rougher and polish them up.’

Mr Ecky sends his best to the Vital Bolton community, he’s currently not well, he’ll be back as soon as possible and in the meantime, he’s got a staff writer to fill in for him.

If anyone has something to share in the meantime (this gives a genuine Bolton point of view from a Bolton fan!) feel free to fire an email through.

Please include your username so I can put that to it though.
