Ahead of the weekend Bolton hasn’t had much success against Leeds United over the past decade, they not only changed that they battered Leeds at Elland Road.

Bolton were left in dreamland at 5pm on Saturday afternoon when they ended a decade long wait for a victory over Leeds when they won 5-1 away, following the 4-0 win the weekend before with another goal blitz.

Dougie Freedman was left delighted with the performance given from his side but is looking to ‘remain calm’ at the moment and not getting carried away by the win.

The Bolton boss said: ‘In difficult moments this season we have tried to stay calm so we are trying to remain calm again despite a fantastic result against Leeds.

‘We were terrific in both boxes and it was a fantastic professional performance from everybody involved.

‘We controlled the midfield with our passing, with Neil Danns and Jay Spearing the key. Results are now starting to go with our performances.’

Joe Mason, Lukas Jutkiewicz and Zat Knight also scored within a 12-minute spell, in either half with Mark Davies adding the fourth and Andre Moritz the fifth in the last minute before Matt Smith scored in injury-time to pull one back for Leeds.

Mr Ecky sends his best to the Vital Bolton community, he’s currently not well, he’ll be back as soon as possible and in the meantime, he’s got a staff writer to fill in for him.

If anyone has something to share in the meantime (this gives a genuine Bolton point of view from a Bolton fan!) feel free to fire an email through.

Please include your username so I can put that to it though.
