Bolton’s penultimate pre-season friendly takes place on Tuesday night when we make the trip to West Yorkshire for a clash against Guiseley. Here we have a quick look at our opponents…

Guiseley will be plying their trade in the National League North next season, four divisions below us, and the lowest of the teams the senior team has faced this summer. They played in the National League proper last season but were relegated finishing bottom of the division. However, last season saw the club’s best ever FA Cup run, as they reached the second round proper.

The club now have joint-managers, having appointed Russ O’Neill as boss along with Marcus Bignot, the latter having league management experience with Grimsby.

Sean St Ledger is the most recognisable name in the Lions’ squad, the defender who just four years ago, was part of Leicester’s Championship-winning side, and scored Ireland’s only goal at Euro 2012. Midfielder Will Hatfield has played more than 100 games for the club and played in the League for Accrington Stanley, while Kayode Odejayi once scored an FA Cup sixth-round winner for Barnsley against Chelsea
