Bolton are out of the Carabao Cup at the first hurdle after losing at Rochdale in a very open game.
Wanderers took the lead twice, through goals from Ronan Darcy and Dennis Politic. For both, it was their first goal for the club, and it was our first goals of the season. Twice Rochdale came behind however, and they would go on to win the game comfortably, as the youngsters tired.
