Dean Holdsworth has stepped down from his Director of Football role with immediate effect.

Since being part of the takeover back in March, Holdsworth was first chief executive, then moved into his last role when Paul Aldridge was brought into the club.

Holdsworth stepped down yesterday, but remains at the club as part-owner and will still be on the Burnden Lesiure board.

It does seem like Holdsworth is not in danger of going anywhere any time soon. The one concerning part is how Holdsworth has not divulged his reasons for stepping down due to legal advice, according to the Bolton News. Whether I’m reading too much into that, I don’t know.
