Injury Updates Ahead Of Bolton Facing Fellow Out Of Form Side

|

It’s another Bolton away game, and we’ll be trying to avoid a sixth consecutive away defeat when we make the shortish trip to Blackpool tomorrow night. The game should have been played at the start of January, but Blackpool progressed sufficiently in the FA Cup to see that game postponed until now. Both teams have had a dismal calendar year so far though, with tomorrow’s opponents recently sacking Simon Grayson. Should be a high quality game then…

Team news

There are no new injury concerns for Wanderers. Ali Crawford may drop down to the bench to avoid playing two games in a week after such a long layoff, but came through Saturday unscathed. Ronan Darcy’s foot injury is still keeping him out, while we’ll have to wait until at least Saturday to see Anthony Georgiou make his debut for us.

Facts and stats

Both teams have had an awful 2020, we’ve both picked up just the four points, although Blackpool have done so from two fewer games. At least we’ve won a game though, unlike Tranmere, who have just two points.

This our first league visit to Bloomfield Road since November 2014, when Lee Chung-yong cancelled out a Jacob Murphy goal in a 1-1 draw in the Championship.

The reverse fixture was played at the start of October, a goalless draw, the first game of the season that a season ticket would have got you in for.

Prediction

Who’ll be worse? Home advantage I imagine will give Blackpool a win. 2-0.
