Boltongav chips in this morning with some transfer thoughts, worries and suggestions
I read today that our beleaguered captain, Jay Spearing is linked with the Villa and QPR.
The latter are expected to make a firm bid this week.
Now firstly I am not sure what they are seeing that would trigger their interest, unless they think he would be better in a different team. Secondly I would pack his bag and drive him to the station based on his recent performances.
Also I believe El Hadji Diouf is at Blackpool looking for some football. Now for me he is just the sort of fiery divisive player we are missing and although it may be nostalgia, I would love him back at Bolton. I fear however it won’t happen as DF would be scared to death of him.
Finally, we are linked with Jack Butland who I am sure would be a good signing on loan but is that position really where we need reinforcements? I know Bogdan was injured at the weekend but I think Lonergan can deputise amply and would rather the money go towards one of the other players we missed out on last week.
I am trying to remain interested in goings on at the Macron, much like the rest of you I fear, but fully expect a tough game at Crewe to be followed by defeat on Saturday and no new signings until the loan window.
