He`s back! After two loan spells in the space of three seasons, Adam Le Fondre today joined Bolton for the third time, and this time it`s permanent.

He has signed a two-year deal which officially starts once his current contract at Cardiff expires at the end of the month.

It`s another piece in reassembling the jigsaw, as another of the key players from last season is signed up. Le Fondre approached a goal every two games during his spell with us in the Championship in 2015, so while we won`t get carried away and make silly statements, it should mean we will have a regular goalscorer in the side next season, regardless of what a Wigan, Wolves, or Cardiff fan will try and tell you. Pair him with a target man, a Gary Madine 2.0 if you will, and we might be on to a decent partnership if and when we play two up top.

While the club wanted to make a big announcement at precisely 5pm, that didn`t quite go to plan. Once Jem Karacan tweeted “Ole, Ole,” the cat was out of the bag, then the man himself announced the news 10 minutes before the embargo would be lifted.

I can think of one other embargo I`d like to be lifted now.
