I look at the progress of Andy Kellett at Plymouth Argyle
One month ago, I interviewed Andy Kellett, a Bolton Wanderers left wing back on loan at Plymouth Argyle- the home town club of on loan Wanderers striker Joe Mason. You can read this interview here: http://www.bolton.vitalfootball.co.uk/sitepage.asp?a=376794
During the process of interviewing, I found Andy to be a very humble and friendly young man.
He made his debut towards the tail end of last season and impressed with some dangerous runs into the opposition half, when featured as a winger.
Former Wanderers boss, Dougie Freedman seemed to think that earlier on in his career, Kellett had ‘attitude problems’- he may well be right, that’s not for me to know, but he’s impressed me greatly both on and off the pitch.
I’ve heard raving reviews from Plymouth fans about the 21 year old’s ability and composure on the ball, and he certainly showed it here against Northampton Town on Saturday:
He marked the occassion of signing a third loan contract with the Pilgrims, by blazing past several Northampton defenders before deftly stroking the ball past former Premier League ‘keeper, Matt Duke.
Kellet’s certainly done very well and it is hoped that, when he returns, he can use this experience to try to break into the Wanderers first team which is missing a fit in-form left back.
