Simeon Slavchev was a casualty of the international break with an injury suffered on duty with Bulgaria set to keep him out for what’s left of the season.

Earlier today the official @OfficialBWFC twitter feed put out this tweet….

BREAKING: Simeon Slavchev out for up to five weeks after injuring ankle ligaments on international duty with Bulgaria. #BWFC

This was followed up by confirmation news of this on the Official Website that went onto say that this ankle ligament injury meant that he was ‘likely to miss the remainder of the season’ as a result.

Since his arrival on loan from Sporting Lisbon at the end of the winter transfer window the midfielder had struggled with his fitness and has been limited to just one appearance from the bench so further chances to impress – which Neil Lennon had planned, with what you would assume was a ‘try before you buy’ audition anyway, don’t seem too likely now….
