Visitors Stoke City have sold their allocation of tickets for the opening day game at the Reebok, with some supporters reporting queuing times as long as eight hours at the Britannia Stadium. Demand was expected to be high, as the Potters haven`t played in the top flight since 1984-5, some time before the formation of the Premier League.

Stoke fans are now planning to buy tickets in the Bolton areas of the ground when they go on open sale. If history is anything to go by the ticket office at the Reebok will take steps to avoid this, but only after it`s already happened. Prepare to sit next to someone in a red and white striped replica shirt.
