Bolton Wanderers are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Gary Madine in the two one victory over Norwich City at the weekend at the Macron Stadium was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Madine was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Madine got himself a goal, before laying on an assist, in Bolton Wanderers` 2-1 success at the Macron Stadium against Norwich City. It`s a win which lifted Phil Parkinson`s side off the foot of the table, and it means the Trotters have taken nine points from their last five outings.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Madine for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Darren Randolph (Middlesbrough), Zeki Fryers (Barnsley), Yoann Barbet (Brentford), Ben Turner (Burton Albion), Jordan Spence (Ipswich Town), Callum O’Dowda (Bristol City), Jacob Butterfield (Sheffield Wednesday), Ruben Neves (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Gary Madine (Bolton Wanderers), Leon Clarke (Sheffield United), Tyler Walker (Nottingham Forest).

Manager – Jaap Stam (Reading).
