What a game to miss. It turned out to be a Filipe Morais masterclass as he set up all four goals, not to mention that was coming off a hat-trick of assists at the weekend, to down Gillingham 4-0.

With another great away result, David Wheater came up with the opening goal of the game, before Adam Le Fondre scored for the second game on the bounce to double our lead. There was no chance of backing off this time, as Mark Beevers made it three just before the break.

After the interval, we got our fourth. Josh Vela finishing things off to complete a comfortable night. Listening via the radio commentary, it seemed a lot more comfortable than Saturday’s win, where Fleetwood did put some pressure on particularly toward the end of the first half at 2-1. Tonight we appeared to have no such worries.

It’s just a case of making sure we keep this level up going forward.
