Andre Moritz recently spoke about a desire to stay with Bolton beyond the end of the season with Dougie Freedman not ruling this out either.

What he did also say was that might want a long-term stay at the Reebok Stadium but wasn’t going to rule out the possibility of looking elsewhere and exploring options with others clubs should they arise.

The Brazilian signed a one-year deal with Bolton last summer but injuries have held him back but the 27-year-old is one of those that the boss could be looking to keep but he also knows that not all players offered deals will take them.

Freedman told the Bolton News: ‘There is a huge possibility that could happen here. I’m a massive admirer of Andre, and when the fans have seen him here, some of the goals he’s scored have been terrific.

‘The problem has all been that he’s never quite been fit enough because he’s missed a pre-season.

‘We’d definitely like to do something but there are a lot of players where contract is an issue right now.

‘I can’t keep everyone on and realistically some of the contracts I am offering out might not be what the players want.’

Mr Ecky sends his best to the Vital Bolton community, he’s currently not well, he’ll be back as soon as possible and in the meantime, he’s got a staff writer to fill in for him.

If anyone has something to share in the meantime (this gives a genuine Bolton point of view from a Bolton fan!) feel free to fire an email through.
