Must-Win Game For Bolton Against Safe Harrogate

|

Bolton are back at the UniBol after a poor Easter in terms of results – Harrogate Town are tomorrow’s opponents.

We’re still well in the automatic promotion hunt and created chances at the weekend. We’re playing a team down the other end of the table, who seemed to have a similar story on Monday, they lost 2-0 to Port Vale despite creating enough chances to get something.

As for us, after two poor results, we really need a win here, otherwise it’ll be three without one and we’ll be going into ‘wobble’ territory. But if we play like we did on Monday, and just finish better, then we’re more than capable.

Team news

The usual long-term injured players are out, and there are seemingly no new worries. The best news is that Antoni Sarcevic is back training. Whether tomorrow is too soon is another question but it looks like the chances of him featuring in the run-in have certainly improved.

The opposition

Harrogate have had a decent first season in the EFL, 16th and 13 points clear mean they’ve consolidated their place in the EFL, though they have lost four of their last five. It still seems to be the same core that were responsible for their recent success, with Jon Stead and ex-Bolton midfielder Tom Walker their two most recognisable names.

Previously

This is our first home game against Harrogate, though we did win the reverse fixture, played at Doncaster in October.

Prediction

I think there’ll be a response from a Bolton side with something to go for, Harrogate have nothing to play for but pride. 2-0
