Nat Lofthouse OBE

Rumours have been circulated on Facebook and Twitter that the legend that is Nat Lofthouse OBE has passed away.

These rumours are unfounded and it has been confirmed that Nat is seriously ill but has NOT passed away.

The rumours came from an online article on the Bolton News website.

The paper has been spoken to and they have advised that an internal server shut down and rebooted, sending filed articles onto the website.

We appreciate that it is not a good enough reason for what has happened, and the paper apologises wholeheartedly and are working to take it off the website.

The paper themselves have spoken to the Lofthouse family and apologised.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Nat and his family at this difficult time.
